Oleksandr Fedorenko, a music producer and sound engineer, is a well-known figure in Ukraine. For several decades, he has been regarded as one of the top five professionals in the country’s music industry.

Projects realized by Fedorenko are distinguished by innovative artistic and technological approaches, resulting in an exceptional impact on audiences.

His collaboration with Fedorenko was described by renowned architect, professor, and academician of the Ukrainian Academy of Architecture Oleh Slieptsov — the author of more than 350 architectural projects and, at the same time, a performer of original music.

Slieptsov notes that he has known Fedorenko since 1998. Together with the young specialist, he sought to combine visual art and music.

“Even then, Oleksandr demonstrated deep sensitivity and technical confidence that set him apart from other sound engineers,” Slieptsov recalls.

This was followed by complex and highly artistic projects in which Fedorenko consistently displayed the same sensitivity and technical mastery that distinguished him from his peers.

“In 2004, when Oleksandr opened his own professional studio, I followed him without hesitation. By that time, he had become not just a sound engineer, but a co-creator of my musical language. That same year, we produced three additional albums: Song of Love, At a Good Time, and Melodies of the Artist. Each of these projects was not merely a musical recording — they were attempts to convey the ‘language of color’ of my paintings through sound. This is an extremely complex task that requires far more than technical skill alone,” Slieptsov says.

Together, the sound engineer and the performer also recorded a number of concert performances, including the concert film Melodies of the Soul (2004), recorded at the House of Writers of Ukraine. They also captured performances at the October Palace and at the Palace “Ukraine,” the country’s main concert stage.

Despite challenging conditions, including the lack of sound insulation, Fedorenko created a full sense of listener immersion by recording in the 5.1 Surround Sound format — an innovative solution for Ukraine at the time.

In fact, Fedorenko was the first sound engineer in Ukraine to work in the 5.1 Surround Sound format.
